Children's Church

Meeting the needs of Families too! All Saints' extends a special welcome at all of our services to children and their parents or carers. There is a well equipped Children's corner in the church and children are invited to use any of the equipment on display. There are basic musical instruments in the Instument Bag to allow children to accompany the hymn singing. Parents - the congregation does not expect our children to be 'seen and not heard', we want them to move around and feel comfortable at All Saints!

A Family Communion Service is held at 9.15am on the Fourth Sunday of every month. This is a new venture at All Saints' Church and we hope that it will develop into a very popular service. We will be welcoming our Rainbows' Group to this service four times a year - Squirrel and her girls are a delight to have around!

Events for Young People

A Youth Group for young people (11+), known as "# 2nd Sun", has started in the benefice. Meetings are held @ the Rectory, Orchard House, 70 High Street, Winterbourne on the 2nd Sunday of the month, 6.00-8.00pm. All are welcome at these meetings! There will be no meeting in August.

Praise and Play

The Praise and Play Group meets every Thursday during term time at 10am - noon in the Church Hall. A short service, aimed at pre-schoolers and their parents/grandparents or carers, follows tea, toast and play.

Messy Church

The Fromeside Benefice has, on occasions, run versions of Messy Church. Typically this has involved an afternoon or evening of craft activities based on a bible theme re-enforced through an act of worship, songs and readings. We have then eaten together a meal prepared by a hard-working team of cooks! The Benefice Children's Group plan to hold Messy Church on a regular basis - watch this space for informatioon about the re-starting of our new Messy Church. Details of date, time and venue will be included on our Events page diary when available.

Grandparents, parents and children are always welcome at Fromeside Benefice Messy Church. Messy Church is a different church experience, an alternative to 'normal' church, it is aimed at children and their families. Today family life is very complex and for some Messy Church is more relevant to the way they live their lives. However, it is real church and worship. Why not come and see for yourself what Messy Church has on offer?
